Bastille Day Celebrations in Masis

On July 14, Masis Development Fund and AFFA (Adibekyan Family Foundation for Advancement) organized a celebration on the occasion of Bastille Day on the Boulevard of Francophone.

Bastille Day is a National Holiday in France, it is the anniversary of the conquering of  Bastille castle on 14 July 1789, which became a turning point of the French Revolution.

Among the honorable guests of the event were representatives of the French Embassy in Armenia and the officials of Masis city and Ararat province.

The orchestra of the French National Gendarmerie performed during the festivities, which received a positive response from the audience. Participants of the event had a large variety of creative activities: an exhibition and a photo contest on the themes of "Liberty, Fraternity, Equality" and "Symbols of France"; master classes in ceramics, painting and wooden crafts, as well as volleyball, basketball, and petanque games.

As a sign of Franco-Armenian friendship, the youth marched across the Boulevard of Francophonie, holding Armenian and French flags.
At the end of the day, a colorful sky ball appeared in the sky, and the night sky lit with multi-colored fireworks.
